Child welfare activist Achyuta Rao dies

P Achyuta Rao, founder and president of Bala Hakkula Sangham passed away due to COVID-19. He was a noted child rights activist and founded the Bala Hakkula Sangham in 1984. He is known to help prevent child marriages, incidents of child sexual abuse and child labor.
Rao recently filed a petition in the Telangana High Court. It stated that students in government schools should be served lunch in the afternoon. As they are unable to receive it due to closure due to epidemic.
