Greta Thunberg, Sweden’s 17-year-old voice for climate change, has been selected for the inaugural Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity. She will get an award with prize money of 1 million euros as prize. She got this honor for her efforts to mobilize younger generations to combat climate change. Greta Thunberg came to the headlines because of launching protests outside the Swedish parliament in 2018, after which she raised it globally and led to a school strike by children around the world.
