Kevin Mayer, CEO of TikTok, has resigned from his position. This came following pressure from the US boss to sell the popular video app to the Chinese boss. The resignation came because of US President Donald Trump’s order banning TickTock. The order asked Tiktok’s parent company, ByteDance, to sell it to an American company within 90 days. Tickotok’s American general manager (interim) Vanessa Pappas will replace him.
